Equipment

  • 1 Frying pan
  • 1 Medium bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup mixed fresh herbs (parsley, oregano, thyme) or 1 tsp each dried
  • 1/2 cup goat cheese sliced
  • 1/3 cup sundried tomatoes chopped into fine slices
  • 6 pieces fresh basil

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together ground turkey with the herbs. Divide in half.
  • On a large plate, make patties with half of the ground turkey mixture (about 6-8 depending on how big you like them).
  • Place goat cheese on top. Then sundried tomatoes, then basil.
  • Make patties with the other half of the ground turkey. Lay on top of the basil. Smooth the edges of the patties out using your hands.
  • Over medium heat, fry burgers in a frying pan with a bit of avocado oil, about 5 minutes. Flip and cover with lid. Cook another 5-8 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Substitutions:
Sub feta for goat cheese. Omit for dairy free or use dairy free cheese.
Sub spinach for basil.
