Equipment

  • disposable gloves optional

Ingredients

  • 6 jalapenos cut in half and seeded
  • 4.5 oz plain cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese grated
  • 6 pieces bacon cut in half

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese and chili powder.
  • Wearing disposable gloves, cut jalapenos in half and seed.
  • Fill each jalapeno half evenly with cream cheese filling.
  • Wrap each jalapeno with half a slice of bacon.
  • Place the wrapped jalapenos on the prepared baking sheet. Discard gloves.
  • Bake until the bacon is browned and crisp and cheese has melted. About 15-20 minutes.
  • Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving.
