I love love love these Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapenos! 

So easy to make, with simple ingredients. The cream cheese and bacon melt in your mouth and the jalapeno offers just a hint of spice. 

This appetizer is a crowd pleaser. I always get asked for the recipe.

They are low carb, boasting only 1.5 grams per serving. They are sugar free, gluten free, grain free and ketogenic.

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • disposable gloves (optional)

What you need to make these Bacon Wrapped Stuffed

Jalapenos

  • 6 jalapenos 
  • 4.5 oz plain cream cheese
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 6 pieces bacon 

How do I make these Bacon Wrapped Stuffed

Jalapenos

It’s EASY!

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Step 2:

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3:

In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese and chili powder.

Step 4:

Wearing disposable gloves (optional), cut jalapenos in half and seed.

Step 5:

Fill each jalapeno half evenly with cream cheese filling; about 3 tsp.

Step 6:

Wrap each jalapeno with half a slice of bacon.

Step 7:

Place the wrapped jalapenos on the prepared baking sheet. Discard gloves.

Step 8:

Bake until the bacon is browned and crisp and cheese has melted. About 15-20 minutes.

Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving.

 

 

 

Key Ingredients & Substitutions:

  •  Jalapenos– mildly spicy without burning your mouth off. 
  • Cream cheese– use a full fat plain cream cheese.
  • Cheddar Cheese- I chose cheddar cheese but any grated hard cheese would work (ie mozzarella, monterey jack, gouda).  If you really like things spicy, choose a spicy cheese like a mozzerella with jalapeno or habernero.

 

     

    How to Store these Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapenos

     Store leftover appetizer in a glass, airtight container. They should be refridgerated and eaten within 5 days.
