It takes less than 5 minutes to make your own Himalayan Bath Salts. These bath salts are made from simple, easy to get ingredients. I used Epsom salts, course Himalayan bath salts, baking soda, a carrier oil like Jojoba oil ( you could also use sweet almond oil, fractioned coconut oil, argan oil, avocado oil or olive oil). I bought all my ingredients at the grocery store, but you could order these items online (ie Amazon).
BENEFITS OF HIMALAYAN BATH SALTS
Himalayan bath salts are beneficial because they offer a variety of physical, mental and skin health benefits.
Rich in minerals: They contain up to 84 trace minerals (magnesium, potassium, calcium) which can be absorbed through the skin to nourish the body.
Detoxification: Soaking in salt water helps draw out toxins from the skin and body promoting a sense of renewal.
Relaxation and Stress Relief: Warm salt baths calm the nervous system, reduce stress and promote better sleep.
Improved skin health: The minerals in the salt can help hydrate, soften and rejuvenate the skin, while its gentle exfoliatiating properties can remove dead skin cells;
Muscle Recovery: Himalayan salts can soothe sore muscles, reduce inflammation and alleviate joint pain, making them great after workouts or physical activity.
Improved Circulation: A warm bath with Himalayan salt may help stimulate blood flow and improve circulation.

How to Store these Himalayan Bath Salts
These bath salts are best stored in an airtight container. Keep the salts in a glass jar, plastic container or resealable bag to prevent moisture from clumping them together.
Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing them in humid areas. Instead, use a cabinet or shelf away from steam.
Avoid direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can degrade the salts over time, especially when infused with essential oils.
If stored properly, the shelf life of these salts is 6-12 months. After 6-12 months, the salts will still be safe to use but the natural fragrance may start to fade or lose its intensity.
