Life is busy. Sometimes you need to get dinner on the table ASAP.
These 12 minute sheet pan STEAK FAJITAS are so good, so quick and so easy. Peppers, red onion and flank steak with a taco spice infused olive oil dressing. All arranged on ONE SHEET PAN, making very little mess.
Who knew that you could cook dinner under the broiler? ANYBODY can make these! Dinner is on the table in less than 20 minutes.
The key to great steak with this recipe is to use flank steak and to cut it against the grain, on a bias. In other words, you should slice it on an angle, against the direction of the meat fibres. Any steak should always be cut this way. It will make the meat easier to chew.
Serve with your favourite fajita toppings (guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese, sour cream) in a bowl or in a gluten free wrap. Serve with cauliflower rice to make a bigger meal.
The whole family will enjoy!

How do I make these SHEET PAN FLANK STEAK “FAJITAS”
It’s Super EASY!
Step Six:
Serve steak and veggies in a bowl or on a gluten free wrap. Serve with cauliflower rice for a bigger meal. Serve with your favourite toppings like guacamole, shredded cheese and salsa.
Key Ingredients & Substitutions:
- Red onion- Red onion was used for this recipe. White onion is an acceptable substitute. Not everybody loves onion. It’s ok to omit. Cook cauliflower rice or regular rice separately if omitting onion.
- Peppers– Peppers add colour and nutrition to this recipe. Use any colour, red, yellow, orange or green.
- Steak -Use flank steak for this recipe. Cut it on a bias (on an angle, against the grain).
- Olive oil- I used organic extra virgin olive oil for this recipe. Avocado oil would be a good substitute. Melted coconut oil would also work. Do not use seed oils like canola, safflower, vegetable. These oils should never be heated
- Spices-I used chili powder, cumin, oregano and smoked paprika as they are classic fajitas seasonings. Use regular paprika as a substitute for smoked paprika.
How to Store Leftover Sheet Pan Steak Fajitas
Store leftover steak and veggies in a glass, airtight container. It should be refrigerated and eaten within 2-3 days. Reheat on the stove in a frying pan with olive oil over medium heat. Steak doesn’t microwave well. It makes it tough.
Do not freeze.
