This is an easy, budget-friendly dinner idea that comes together in minutes. Ground beef, onion and cabbage stir-fried in a skillet with ginger, garlic, and grated carrots. Great for when you have lots of cabbage to use up or don’t have a lot of time. Don’t like chopping cabbage? Buy a bag of raw coleslaw and use that. Healthy and delicious. Gluten and grain free, dairy free, low carb, with soy free option.

How to Store this Ginger Beef & Cabbage Bowl
Store leftovers in a tight glass container. Must be refrigerated. Must be eaten within 5 days. Do not freeze.
20 minute Ginger Beef & Cabbage Bowl
Equipment

1 wooden spoon
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 white onion diced
- 500 grams ground beef
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup matchstick or grated carrots
- 4 cups shredded cabbage
- 3 tbsp coconut aminos, tamari or GF soy sauce (coconut aminos has the least sodium)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions (scallions) white and green parts sliced
Instructions

Over medium heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil. Saute onion about 2 minutes.

Add ginger and garlic. Saute 1 minute.

Add ground beef and cook until browned. About 5-7 minutes.

Add carrots and cabbage. Saute until it's tender.

Stir in tamari sauce, sesame oil.

Garnish with green onions.
